Biomass gas stove

Biomass Gas Stove:

This Biomass Gas Stove Works On The Principle Of Updraft Gasification. Biomass Such As Woodchips, Agricultural Residues, Dry Leaves, Barks Can Be Used In Biomass Stove. The Stove Is Cylindrical Drum Made Of Clay, Sand & Paddy Husk. It Is 290 Mm In Diameter & 630 Mm In Height. An Iron Gate Is Fixed At 50 Mm From The Base To Hold The Biomass. The Openings For Ash Removal & Secondary Air Supply Are Provided.

To Operate The Stoved Ahead Of Ignited Charcoal (1/2 Kg To A Depth Of 50 Mm) Is Placed Over The Grate. Then The Biomass Is Dumped Over Red hot Charcoal. A White Gas Emanates & It Is Ignited Experiments Shows That Stove Consumes 3.4-4.5 Kg Of Biomass Per Hour.

As The Material Is Gasified And Burn at Higher Flame Temperature (600-700 C) And Increase In Thermal Efficiency (23-25%) Is Achieved Heat output is 4.4kw And Saving In Fuel Over The Conventional Wood Stoves Is 10% And Saving In Times Is 40%. The Cost Of The Thermal Applications In Farm Households, Tea Shops, Jaggery Manufacture, Turmeric Boiling, Paddy Parboiling And Other Agro-industrial Application.
