The Innovation
Development of an environment friendly oil engine:
The innovator first converted this high-speed engine into one low speed without emitted. As a next step, he changed the silencer tube size from 1 inch to 1.5 inches diameter. This change also produced no effect. Then he changed the muffler size from 0" to a larger size of 20" dia. Later when he had cut open the old muffler of 20" dia. he found that there was only one thread inside in it. He subsequently made by cutting three tin sheets to a diameter of 20" and fitted them into one by welding carefully with a gap of 2mm between each tin sheet. He also made holes similar to those found in the old 20" dia. muffler. This modified muffler assembled by him was fitted with the 20" dia. Silencer tube. To his surprise, he observed that he could lower the sound and reduce the level of smoke emission. Further the smoke emitted was white in colour instead of black indicating less of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide in it. The smoke was also free from any offensive odour.
